The Inmate Escort Restraint is a wrist control device for restraining an individual's hands behind their back, designed specifically to address the need for improved safety and control in the process of restraining, removing, and escorting inmates from their cells to and from correctional facility activities.

The Escort Restraint is designed for a short In-house escort, such as cell to yard, cell to shower or a non-contact visitation room.

CAUTION:
Take due care when applying force with the Inmate Escort Restraint. This device gives the line officer unprecedented control over an individual's movement during escort.

The Escort Restraint should never be applied for an extended period of time or the individual restrained and left unattended.

The inmate escort restraint can not be applied to some individuals.
A person's wrist must be close enough together behind their back for the straps to be properly applied and secured. You will encounter this issue with the escort restraint just as you do now with standard handcuffs, in either case an extended chain handcuff such as the Peerless model 6x works great on individuals who can't get their hands close enough together behind their back to be restrained.
